Confidentiality and your rights
What does Confidentiality mean?
The word confidentiality in ZunTold means keeping things you do and say private between you and our team. Being able to talk to the team openly and honestly means they can provide you with the best service.
Will my information be shared?
Anything you say to us or anything that is written about you will be kept privately from your family, your teachers, your employers, and any other organization.
We will ask you if we can share your personal information.
If you are a danger to yourself or someone else, we may have to share your information. We will only share personal information about you to help keep you safe. This information will only be shared if it has to be.
What about my rights?
Everyone has the right to make their own choices and be involved in the decisions about what happens to them, whatever their age.
If ZunTold thinks that you are not able to make a good choice for yourself, we may seek additional support for you. This might be from a trusted adult, parent, carer, or another organization.
It is your right to be told if your information is going to be shared with anyone else.
What information do we share?
We share information that is confidential and anonymous. This means that it is private and it does not have your personal information on it.
We share this information to make sure that we can continue to offer the service and reach people that need it.
The information we share includes:
- Who used our service (for example, the number of males, females, other genders, ages, ethnicity)
- What kind of therapy and support people had
- How people were helped
- How many times people used the service and what they did
Who do we share this information with?
We provide reports and case studies for people who commission our service. We give them data which is anonymous and confidential.
Sometimes we carry out or participate in service evaluations and research. We provide anonymous and confidential information.
Occasionally we may ask if people using our service would like to take part in service evaluations and research. We would always make sure we have asked you if we needed to share your personal information for you to take part.
All of our therapists have clinical supervision. This means they talk about the people they are supporting with a Clinical Supervisor to make sure they are doing the best work they can. Your personal information is not shared within these sessions.
